About the Firm

We are a leading independent wealth management and family office organization dedicated to serving high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, and their related entities. Our integrated approach combines investment management, tax planning, estate planning, and family office services to help clients preserve and grow wealth across generations.

As we continue to expand our tax advisory practice, we are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with sophisticated clients while enjoying a more balanced and relationship-driven environment than traditional public accounting.

Why Join Us?

Work-Life Balance – Enjoy a sustainable workload with significantly less emphasis on billable hours and busy season pressures

Advisory-Focused Role – Spend more time helping clients proactively plan rather than solely reacting to filing deadlines

Deep Client Relationships – Serve as a trusted advisor to a select group of families and individuals over the long term

Collaborative Environment – Partner closely with investment advisors, estate planning professionals, and family office teams

Flexible Work Arrangements – Hybrid and remote flexibility available depending on location

Sophisticated Client Base – Work with complex tax situations involving investments, trusts, estates, partnerships, and multi-generational wealth planning

Your Role

As a Senior Tax Manager, you will serve as a key advisor to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, providing strategic tax planning, oversight of tax compliance, and coordination across multiple areas of a client’s financial life.

You will help clients navigate complex tax matters while collaborating with internal advisors and outside professionals to deliver comprehensive wealth management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review complex individual, trust, gift, estate, and partnership tax returns
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families
  • Advise clients on income tax, estate tax, gift tax, trust structures, charitable planning, and wealth transfer strategies
  • Coordinate tax planning efforts with investment advisors, estate planning attorneys, and other outside professionals
  • Analyze tax implications of investment strategies, liquidity events, business transactions, and estate planning initiatives
  • Provide guidance on multi-state taxation, partnership investments, and alternative investment structures
  • Mentor and develop junior tax professionals while maintaining technical excellence
  • Stay current on tax legislation and proactively communicate planning opportunities to clients
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for a select group of client relationships

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • CPA license required
  • 8+ years of tax experience within public accounting, family office, wealth management, or a related advisory environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of high-net-worth individual taxation, trusts, estates, gift tax, and partnership taxation
  • Experience advising affluent families, business owners, executives, and investors
  • Ability to communicate complex tax concepts in a practical and client-friendly manner
  • Strong relationship management and consultative skills
  • Experience reviewing complex tax returns and managing client engagements
  • Desire to move beyond a traditional compliance-focused role into a more holistic advisory capacity

  • Smaller client loads with deeper relationships
  • Increased collaboration with investment and estate planning professionals
